Halloween

So I'm thinking our blog will never be caught up to current events! Hopefully one of these days! We dressed Noah and Nate up as Tigger and Pooh for Halloween. I was not able to get many good pictures. :( Noah did not really enjoy Halloween this year. We think he was a little scared of the dark. We took him trick or treating for a short time but he hated it. He did however enjoy passing out candy from his front door. Silly boy!
We also went to a Fall Festival with my parents this year. These pictures are from that festival.

Pumpkin Cupcakes

Noah loves to help us cook and bake! So for Halloween Noah, Mommy, and Nate made yummy cupcakes! Noah loved mixing all the ingredients, icing, and adding sprinkles. I think his favorite part was sticking the little pumpkin toothpicks on top. Our cupcakes were so yummy that daddy ate them for breakfast the next morning!

Cabins and Bears

We stayed in a really nice cabin between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We actually had to switch cabins because the first one was nasty. The second one was really nice. We had a huge upstairs loft/game room were Jeremy and Noah liked to hang out. Downstairs we had a hot tub and a whirlpool jacuzzi. It was really nice and peaceful. The morning we left to come home we made a stop at the Three Bear General Store. This is a neat store that helps rescue bears and keeps them in a nice habitat for public observation. So for $3 we got to see and "feed" live bears. Noah fed them fruit through a plumbing pipe into their home. This was cool!

Fall Trip to Gatlinburg

Jeremy had vacation time to use so we headed to the Smokey Mountains. This year we did something a little different. Our good friends Kristi and Marie came with us! We had a great time. This year Noah wanted to DO EVERYTHING... Every time we would pass by a golf course, race cars, bungee jump, he would say "DO THAT". It was pretty funny but we were glad he enjoyed the trip. We spent a whole day at Dollywood. Noah loved riding the kiddie rides and the big choo choo train!

Aunt Misty's Wedding

On August 15, 2009 Misty got married! Noah was her cute little ring bearer. Misty was a beautiful bride! We all had a great time. Here are a few pics.

Jeremy's BIG Birthday

We celebrated Jeremy's big 30 Birthday on June 15. I'm still having a hard time believing he's that "old" already. He did not want a big bang party so we went out for a nice little dinner. Where have the years gone!? Jeremy was 24 when we first met!

Nathaniel William's Birth

May 25, 2009, Memorial Day, and the day before I was scheduled to be induced Nathaniel William Spellman was born. We had a wonderful birth experience this time around. It's amazing how much nicer Huntsville Hospital and their staff was compared to Florence Hospital were Noah was born. This time I had two wonderful nurses and an awesome female doctor! We went into the hospital around 11a.m. and Nate was born that night at 8:35p.m. When I had Noah everything went smoothly until we got to the pushing part. That was the hardest thing ever! It took me an hour and 15 minutes to get Noah out. So I was nervous about that happening again. But this time I tried hard to relax, stay focused and pray! It must have worked because Nathaniel was born after only 13 minutes of hard pushing! My doctor this time did a great job of coaching me so I think that really made a difference. Little Nate gave us a scare the first few minutes he was alive. Apparently he had swallowed a bunch of fluid right before he delivered and was having trouble breathing. Those few short moments were one of the scariest times of our lives! They called in special nurses from the newborn intensive care unit. Within a few minutes they had him back to breathing well on his own. We were so happy! Nate weighed in at 7 lbs. 13oz, blue eyes, and light brown hair. We are so glad to have him apart of our family! Noah loves him very much. :-)
